Does this effect your credit?
Does losing your credit card or filing billing disputes effect your credit? Does applying for a few credit cards but being denied effect your credit?

yes disputing items does count against your credit w the credit reporting agencies. As for applying for cards the credit reporting agencies see you as looking for available debt and each inquiry takes points off of your score.

cuteman
losing your card - no effect billing dispute - no effect denied credit application - yes, every time you apply for credit where u got approved or not your points go down.

Losing your credit card or billing disputes means nothing to your credit. Being denied for a credit card really has no effect either except for a couple of points of your credit score simply because a creditor pulled your credit report.

what really effects your credit rating is defaults, where you have done the runner on a bill. most of what you said would not influence your credit rating.

The first does not AFFECT your credit. The second does AFFECT your credit adversely.

Every application is recorded on your file. Several applications in a short period of time can have a serious effect on your credit score.
