Sounds like you have never seen your own credit report. You should be doing so on a regular basis. Go to annualcreditreport.com to see your report.

Yes, your balances are there.

They see the credit limit and the current balance. There are also numbers that indicate if you have been paying your bills or if you have late payments. It does not, however, show past balances.
There is also a section at the end that lists comments describing the major factors that determined your specific score. That section may say high balances.
